Cynthia Hankins Clinic

Blackjack Lane is excited to announce our first clinic at the new facility! Cynthia Hankins will be joining us January 18th and 19th, 2020 for two days of intensive clinic riding with classes for beginner through advanced riders. The clinic will be hosted in a large covered arena along with lots of covered seating so the weather will not be a factor!

Clinic Participation

Participants in the clinic will be riding in groups no larger than 6 riders for 1.5-2 hours. Clinic spots will only be held after a non-refundable deposit is received. Groups range from Beginner 2′ to Advanced 3’3″+. Lunch to be provided both days.

Clinic Auditing

Auditing is welcomed and encouraged! Auditor passes are available for the weekend at a prepaid rate of $35 or $40 (cash only) the day of. If you plan to audit, please fill out the form below.

Clinic Costs

Clinic Participation – $450 ($250 due as a non-refundable deposit at sign up, $200 due by January 10th)
Weekend stall – $100, includes 12×14 stall with waterer and shavings
RV Hookup – $40/night or $70 for Friday and Saturday

A bit about Cynthia via EquestrianCoach.com:

Cynthia Hankins was a junior equitation star, having placed in the top ten of several equitation finals before winning the American Horse Show Association Medal Finals in 1975. Cynthia has spent much of her professional career traveling between the United States and France, where she rode and trained at a top breeding farm. Many of her students have gone on to become successful professionals within the hunter/jumper industry.

Cynthia holds a USEF R-rated judge’s license in both Hunter and Hunter Seat Equitation, has judged numerous shows in the U.S. and France, and several equitation finals including the 2011 American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Maclay Finals at the National Horse Show in Lexington, KY.

In addition to judging and training, Cynthia shares her knowledge and expertise with riders as a top clinician and in the articles she contributes to publications such as The Chronicle of the Horse and Practical Horseman.

Latte just marched into the ring like a pro, jumped around a busy arena with a full lead change and impressed us all! We may hang onto this little sale pony for a bit to add polish and a bigger price tag. Come see her at the show before I change my mind!
